No applications for visa including those by post will normally be accepted at the Embassy except those for visas on Diplomatic/Official passports. Please read these instructions carefully before applying to avoid any inconvenience:
The validity of the visa starts from the date of issue and not from the date of entry into India. Time Taken: Applications received at the ARKE BLS Centre, when complete in all respects, are normally processed in five working days. The processing time for visas on Non- Spanish Passports is seven working days. It may take longer for Visas other than tourist /business that may require prior approval from the authorities in India. Passports can be collected during working hours. For collection of passports the cash receipt must be produced. The applicants are advised to refrain from making telephonic/written inquires about the status of the application. Such enquiries may delay the grant of visas. However, the progress of the application may be tracked on- line on the web site of ARKE BLS Centre (www.indiavisados.com ). Grant of Visa can be refused without assigning any reason irrespective of the fact that the application has been duly submitted by the applicant. Visa fee once received is not refunded even if the visa application is withdrawn or visa not granted. The Embassy has the final decision regarding the duration of the visa to be granted to the applicant. Change of purpose of visit to India is not permitted once you have reached India. You must apply for the correct visa category depending on the nature of your journey. Cash is accepted only at the Counter. No urgent visa service is available for non-Spanish/non-Andorran passports. 1. A person who was holding Pakistani nationality at any given time. 2. If any one or both of the parents or grandparents (both paternal and maternal) was/were holding the nationality of Pakistan at any time. Visa Application Form for persons of Pakistan origin: In addition to the normal visa application form, all persons of Pakistan origin are required to fill and submit an additional form – [Click here to download form] Visa to persons of Pakistan origin: A person of Pakistan origin will be issued a visa for a maximum of 3 months validity with single entry only. Note: All persons of Pakistan origin are advised to submit their application form well in advance (45 days) before the planned date of trip to India. Passengers travelling to India are not allowed to carry Satellite phones without obtaining prior license from Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. Unauthorized Satellite phones will be detained/confiscated on arrival at the airport. Any passenger to India carrying a satellite phone in the Cargo or in any other baggage should declare the same at Customs at the point of entry. |

The visa fee for (I) Spanish and Andorran Nationals and; (II) Non-Spanish, Non-Andorran Nationals is as follows: I. VISA FEE FOR SPANISH and ANDORRAN NATIONALS (updated on 26th October 2012)
II. Visa Fees for Non-Spanish/Non-Andorran Nationals Since visa fees are fixed on the basis of reciprocal arrangement/or special agreements between governments, the fees could differ for citizens of different countries. In view of bilateral agreements/arrangements, all types of visas will be granted gratis to the nationals of Afghanistan, Argentina (applicable only to tourist and transit visas), Bangladesh, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Germany (German national married to an INDIAN NATIONAL and their children), Jamaica, Maldives, Mauritius, South Africa, and Uruguay. However, a fee of € 25 would be charged as processing fee. The current schedule of visa fees for non-Spanish and non-Andorran nationals is given below.

Visas – Tourist Visa on arrival for certain countries |
A Tourist holding valid passport of the following eleven countries will be issued a Tourist Visa on-arrival valid for up to 30 days with single entry at Delhi/Mumbai/ Chennai/ Kolkata airports. From August 15, 2013 this facility has been extended to four additional airports viz. Trivandrum, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi.
These countries are: Finland, Luxemburg, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines and Vietnam. The Tourist Visa on-arrival will be issued subject to the following conditions:
It may be noted that ‘Tourist-visa-on-arrival’ is only a facility for the citizens of the above named 11 countries, who were unable to apply for a visa at the Indian Embassy for some reason. Therefore, those nationals of these 11 countries who apply for visa at the concerned Indian Embassy will be issued appropriate visa, if otherwise eligible. Those whose purpose of visit is other than that at (i) above and those who intend to stay in India for a longer period should invariably obtain appropriate visa from the Indian Embassy concerned. |
